The folks at Signs OverNite wanted wind to provide the power needed to make custom signs and graphics. In
2007, ECI Wind and Solar installed a 10KW Bergey Excel on
a 120 foot freestanding tower at the Signs OverNite location in Crown
Point. This turbine is interconnected with the NIPSCO
power grid, and the turbine works seamlessly with NIPSCO
to provide power to the location.

ECI Wind and Solar rescued 1200 Watts of Solar Panels that were
going into the dumpster. In 2007, we added these
salvaged panels to the ECI Wind and Solar office
system. This tripled the solar generation
and eliminated the need for fossil fuel generated
electricity, during the summer months, at our location.

ECI Wind and Solar is proud to have been part of Duke Energy’s
Solar DSM program in 2007. ECI installed a 2.0 Kilowatt
solar system, which was provided to the school by Duke
Energy. These systems were installed with a Heliotronics Feynman data acquisition system (www.heliotronics.com)
so that students at the school can use the Solar
Learning Lab to learn about renewable energy. These
systems provide our school children direct, hands-on
access to technology that can change there lives.

Our customers in Booneville wanted to build their dream home far
out into the country in Southern Indiana. We installed
a 6.0 KW Solar System for their completely off the grid
home. They wanted to be able to live with
nature and produce their power naturally without giving
up the little pleasures in life. ECI Wind and Solar
specializes in battery- based wind and solar systems.
This system boasts an 18KW LP generator to seamlessly
backup the house in times of cloudy weather, and 100 AMPs of continuous, pure-sine-wave, AC power output.
